Project Description :: Developed engagement strategy, partnerships and screening toolkit for the community campaign for this PBS special on local, sustainable economies starring David Brancaccio.

Campaign highlights:

  • Screened the film in over 50 communities in July 2012 where the film was tied to tailored calls-to-action around local economic initiatives.

  • Secured partnerships with the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE), 350.org, American Sustainable Business Council, Yes! Magazine, US Federation of Worker Cooperatives, Transition US and more.

  • Time banks (a model featured in the film) saw a 50% increase in the U.S. immediately following the film’s release.

  • Partnered with Credo and garnered nearly 27,000 signatures on a petition demanding transparency on drone strikes from President Obama.
